CHICAGO PUFF

A tranquil
motor
counted dimes
at the diner counter.
Pack
of
cigarettes
seven dollars.

Instead
outside
on the street
I bought
a Chicago style
hotdog,
lit a stogie
& breathed
like a wind chime
in the cold air.
